Congratulations to Dr. Shridevi Rao, Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education, Language, and Literacy and Graduate Coordinator for the  Special Education Graduate Programs, on the upcoming release of her book, South Asia and Disability Studies: Redefining Boundaries and Extending Horizons (co-edited with Dr. Maya Kalyanpur).  For a detailed article on Dr. Rao’s research and inspiration for the book, see our Faculty “Spotlight On” section of the Spring 2013 Graduate Column.

grahamDr. Jean Graham, Associate Professor and Summer Graduate Coordinator for the MA English Program, had her article “Vocal Women, Silent Woman: Gender in the Noble Numbers” published in a special issue of ANQ (a Quarterly Journal of Short Articles, Notes and Reviews) devoted to the poet Robert Herrick. Dr. Michele Lise Tarter, Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator for the MA English Program, has co-edited a book titled BURIED LIVES: INCARCERATION IN EARLY AMERICA published by the University of Georgia Press.  Visit us on Facebook – TCNJ Graduate Studies - to see a picture of the beautiful cover art.

Dr. Mark S. Woodford, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Counselor Education, has published his first book, MEN, ADDICTION, AND INTIMACY: STRENGTHENING RECOVERY BY FOSTERING THE EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF BOYS AND MEN, (Routledge Mental Health).

Dr. Yiqiang Wu, Teaching English as a Second Language Graduate Program Coordinator and Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education, Language and Literacy, was recently awarded a $2 million grant by the U.S. Department of Education.  See TCNJ News for more information on the great projects this grant will help support.

Dr. Alan Amtzis, Director of The College of New Jersey’s Masters of Education Program in Educational Leadership: Instruction, has been appointed academic co-editor of The Educational Forum (Kappa Delti Pi).  See TCNJ News for the full announcement.
